Balance BJJ FAQ
What should I wear for my first session?
When you begin your training with us you will need a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Kimono called a Gi for the Gi sessions or Rash guard and shorts for No-Gi. But for your first trial session you can just wear a sports top and shorts until you decide if you like it.
Are beginners welcome?
Yes we have all levels of practitioners training with us, from beginners to high level belts. As we keep to small class sizes and have such prestigious teaching standards our students progress much quicker with us than they do at most other clubs.
What is the difference between Fundamental Gi and No-Gi sessions?
The Fundamental Gi session focuses on traditional Jiu-Jitsu techniques using the Gi for grip and control. No-Gi sessions, born from the absence of kimonos, have evolved into a style without grips, creating a distinct approach.
